The journey of James K Jones from a young boy rolling out biscuits in his Granny's kitchen to a celebrated Private Chef in Birmingham, Alabama, is a testament to his resilience and passion for the culinary arts. His story is one of transformation, from learning the ropes of Haute and Nouvelle Cuisine as an apprentice under French Chef Patrick Quillec to overcoming personal challenges and finding new purpose within a prison kitchen. His ability to turn adversity into opportunity was further demonstrated when he moved to Birmingham in 1999. From Leonardo’s to Kairos Kafe and 5 years at a local non-profit, James learned to showcase his knack for culinary innovation.
